I was lucky enough to recieve Al's assistance and expert advice on refinishing my kitchen cabinets. I cannot express how Truly Pleased I am with the end results, from the damaged veneer to the end result he assisted me in every step of the restoration and refinishing, he really went above and beyond to help me through each and every step, giving me the confidence and know-how to get this job done and more importantly Done Right! My mid century cabinets now look as though they were installed yesterday!!!

I have worked with Al on several projects. He is professional, patient, and always provides the product I am looking to create for a client. He listens to my request, provides great imput, creates drawings, wood and finish samples, and most importantly, provides a product of great quality and style. I have known Al for several years and admired his creativity, workmanship, professionalism and pride. He did a very small, simple job for me in making a pair of cupboard doors to match other existing ones. He did not do a site inspection due to the nature of the project but trusted my measurements and definition of design. They fit and worked perfectly. I have witnessed his workmanship in building residential stairs as well as custom paneling. Superb to say the least. Additionally, I have seen and witnessed restored furniture pieces as well as custom made furniture. Knowing and seeing what I have experienced you would not want to go anyplace else. Al has refinished several pieces for us and it is refreshing to work with another professional with regular business hours, brick and mortar storefront and very reliable communications. Al Fortunato's craftsmanship is excellent. He is an expert in repairing furniture. He repaired several very damaged pieces of furniture with thoughtfulness and precision and they looked just like new when completed. He is multi talented as he installed a new pantry closet enclosing a refrigerator that looked like it was always there. If you are looking for quality workmanship, Al is your best choice!

I can recommend Al without reservation. He knows what he's doing. Al reworked a farm table for me that was impossible to dine at as your legs did not fit comfortably under a border of wood under the table. He took off the top, reworked the legs and now it is perfect. Al also completely agreed with my decorator and I that we should leave the years of abuse the table top had seen, things like carved initials and a little paint. Even with leaving that he put a sheen on it that was glorious. That's not all he did for me, but I love it best. You can trust Al. He'll come when he says he's going to come, bring it back within the time frame he said he would and you'll never know he's been in your house. I hope to have him build something for me from scratch one day.
