Maybe if you are storing insulin or other medications, otherwise I'd have to say no.

Refrigerators are meant for the kitchen.

No way for me, sorry. We have fridges in our downstairs kitchen but since we designed our house in units for family members who live with us ( one living room, one bedroom and two bathrooms in each unit and a hallway) each unit has a small fridge where they put their snacks or drinks for times when they need it without having to go downstairs at night etc, each has their favourite fruit snacks etc. Also for any medicine needing refrigeration.

Two family members have put theirs in the living room space ( like a small studio in design). So, hallways, or even a bedroom ( small fridge) is better than in the bathroom. It is nice to see ideas, everyone can come up with really.

I wouldn't put a fridge in my bathroom any more than I'd put a toilet in my kitchen. Food and elimination need to be kept separate IMHO.

What possible reason is there for a refrigerator in the bathroom? Can one of the people who voted "Yes," explain this?

I haven't voted yet, but it would seem a good idea because certain medicines, lotions and beauty products are best stored chilled. Not for food. Just these products.

Might as well add table and chairs too for a late night snack. Oh, don't forget the toaster oven and microwave. And so the house is balanced, a toilet in the kitchen.

For a spec house - no, no, no, no, and no. For a particular client who wants temperature control for cosmetics, perhaps. What do you think people would want to use one for? I'm curious.

I never considered a fridge in the bathroom before seeing this, but I wouldn't reject the idea outright. It certainly would be handy for medicine (my son's insulin often took up a lot of our limited fridge space) and some supplements that need to be kept cool.

I wouldn't eat or drink in the bathroom, but I wouldn't have a problem fetching a drink or snack out of there. I wouldn't want to hear a fridge in my bedroom, so this could be workable.

Of course, it is such a short distance from my room to the kitchen in my wee little home that it would be silly for me to have one - but not a terrible idea for others.

If the toilet is compartmentalized, yes. But I would rather see a snack area in conjunction with the laundry area centralized in the bedroom wing.

No! No refrigerator in the bathroom. How gross! I had rather see it tucked away and hidden somewhere in the bedroom. It would be more sanitary then in a bathroom.

OMG!!! Who comes up with these ideas. That idea needs to be flushed down the toilet. I can just hear it now when you have a guest - "Excuse me while I go to the bathroom to get you a nice cold drink.". Nasty fingers touch those door knobs and everything else in there. Can we say "hepatitis"?

I can't imagine why anyone would need a refrigerator in their bathroom. In fact, I've never heard of it before.
