Dependable Rooter and Plumbing

Very fair, professional, and Excellent service. They replaced a 2 year old water heater that kept breaking down at no cost. For the future I wouldn't go to anyone else and would highly recommend this company.

During a routine inspection of my crawl space, I noticed the waste line of my kitchen sink leaking. I submitted a repair request via Houzz and within 1 hour, I received a call from Dependable to set up an appointment for the following day. The customer service agent stated there would be a $59 appointment fee and I agreed. Andrew and Tyler showed up at the appointment, inspected the problem, and provided pricing options. They were thorough with the inclusions and exclusions of each options and were happy to answer my questions. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have sticker shock with the pricing. I'm a Project Manager for a larger Commercial General Contractor in the area and am familiar with pricing and requirements of this kind of work. They were about 30% higher than I had anticipated. However, with 2 young kids at home, and a busy work schedule, I didn't have time to wait for another contractor to inspect the job and schedule the work - so I agreed to the pricing. Both Tyler and Andrew were patient with my decision making and said the pricing quote would be valid later if I needed more time to think about it. We agreed on a 9am appointment time the following day. Tyler and Juan showed up the next day as scheduled. As they began to set up, I immediately realized why they are not the cheapest plumbing outfit in town. They spent nearly 45 minutes installing floor protection, wall protection, and covering furniture with plastic in the areas they needed to work. Since the repair involved going into the crawl space underneath the house, I had anticipated having to spend an hour of my time cleaning up dirt/dust/etc. after they were finished. Tyler and Juan protected everything so thoroughly that I did not need to do any additional clean up work. The repair itself took a little over 2 hours. After Tyler and Juan finished cleaning up, Tyler spent another half hour documenting the fix and preparing the final report. He showed me multiple pictures of the repair and the completed work area. No cut corners, clean work, and left my house looking just like it did before they arrived. Dependable Rooter won't be the cheapest price in town but based on my experience, you won't have to deal with any hassle. They lived up to their commitment of protecting my house and belongings, and providing a quality installation. I'd recommend them for any repairs requiring a higher level of difficulty.

I've hired Dependable Rooter for 2 jobs and I've been nothing but pleased with the quality of work and service I've gotten. They've exceeded all other contractors I've worked with in terms of professionalism and quality of work. The first job I hired them for was a broken drain pipe in my second floor bathroom that caused extensive water damage to my first floor kitchen. Their response rate was exceptional. As someone who was trying to juggle multiple contractors at the same time, having their quick response and on-time scheduling really made the situation more manageable. They are really knowledgeable and will explain to you in detail what they're doing so you know what you're paying for. For example, the previous contractors that worked on my house mis-installed my bathtub's p-trap – this explains why the whole thing looked like a pretzel to begin with. The end result was a much cleaner install and with much better materials. The second job was a complete overhaul of my plumbing system. Since I had the walls gutted from the first job, I took the opportunity to create new plumbing for a future bathroom addition which involved having to redo all the plumbing. I am definitely a person who notices details and I appreciated all the work they did from beginning to end, including the little things in between. The whole first floor was properly covered with the necessary materials to prevent floor damage and the furniture/appliances from getting dust on them. In the walls, metal plates were placed over the studs to prevent accidentally drilling into them if you need to install shelves, cabinets, etc. When redoing the laundry faucets and drain, they made both boxes level without me even having to make the request. When removing the drywall, they were sure to cut the drywall halfway over the studs so that the drywall contractor could have a good place to screw the new drywall in afterwards. Even was mistakes were made (and that's to be expected from any job), they were very transparent in calling them out and correcting them. After each day, the crew was always diligent in cleaning everything up and leaving the house in order. Dependable Rooter's craftsmanship is top notch. Their service comes with professionalism and a high respect for your time and money. I highly recommend them.

Great experience from the initial phone call to set up the appointment to the actual service visit. We had three issue, and the plumber who was helping us out fixed two right away - our kitchen faucet and dishwasher. We also had an issue with the water heater, but after looking at the appliance we realized that it was still under the original manufacturer warranty so we were advised to call them first.

Dependable has done two jobs for me. In both cases their work was outstanding and there customer service second to none. One visit was a broken line from a sump well. And another fixing a major leak on our main line just outside our foundation. In both cases they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. With the leak, they started replacing what previously existed with the same type of materials. Then they came back after a long day to say they weren't happy with the original PVC installation, and decided to replaced it with copper - at no additional cost. Of course we had 5 family members visiting from out of town when this all was happening and they were extremely accommodating. These guys aren't just Dependable. They really know what customer service means.

Had a kitchen drain clog in a fairly standard multi-unit dwellling (3 floors, and we're on the 2nd floor). It took a while since the clog was fairly deep, but Dependable rooter was able to get it cleared. *updated review* The customer service rep. has graciously followed up with me to clarify there was a mis-communication issue on my initial quote and offered to work it out with me. They’re a professional service, and I”m happy they are willing to work towards customer satisfaction.

Quick great response to major sewer clog which signaled a ready-to-fail cast iron pipe sewer system to be replaced with plastic piping. Eventually required major replacement of virtually every sewer and lavatory pipe and several water (copper) pipes in our 2400 sq. ft. two-story home. Involved lots of difficult work under house and lots of in-kitchen and bathroom sheet rock and paint replacement. Included a 5+ feet deep sewer clean out in our yard. All work done exceptionally well. Everyone was very friendly and polite to us and to each other; great teamwork from people that work together very well. Tough job done on budget and timely (five large pink vans and a car were parked nearby on busiest day!). Special kudos to: -David's and Mike's excellent diagnostic and supervisory work. -Jose and Juan who did excellent and extra sheet rock, painting and cleanup work. -Immediate attention to a (n accidentally) broken thermostat wire under house--they called in an expert at their own expense (>$500) who installed a great new wireless thermostat. -a surprise and very pleasant visit from General Manager Sara to finish job and show her appreciation with before and after pix. My wife shares my opinions above and was especially impressed with Jose's general and bathroom cleanup. She said "my bathrooms have not been this clean since [they were] remodeled 16 years ago". We both would and will recommend this firm to anyone.

Courteous and friendly; from those answering the phone to those doing the work. They were punctual and careful to clean up when they were done. They replaced my water heat on one visit and fixed a clogged sink on the second. And I would call them again.

I was extremely pleased with th work done. The person arrived on time. Did the things that needed to be done. And charged no extra money.
