“Karl Smith, owner of Unique Construction was wonderful to work with. He explained clearly all details of the job about what needed to be done and how he would do it. He always took time to answer my questions which was very important to me. He worked diligently to get all permits and inspections done quickly to keep the job moving forward. The job he did included re-building a non-permitted covered patio on the rear of my house that was on my house when I bought it. And removing a covered porch from the front of the house that was also not permitted and encroached property lines. Roof replacement was then needed on the front of the house. On the rear, the existing porch roof had to be jacked up, existing concrete pillars removed and footings dug and poured, and new pillars re-built. It was a huge messy job, but when he was done, there was no mess left for me to clean up. I love that. From our first meeting, Karl was straight-forward with his requirements to actually do the job. He was knowledgeable about what would need to be done, county and city codes and permitting requirements. I would surely recommend him to anyone. He also does remodeling, and building from the ground up.”
