Would you consider two chandeliers? What a pretty kitchen.

I'm open to anything! what kind of chandelier? all the fixtures in the kitchen are rubbed oil bronze. Should I go with something in that finish?

What kind of lighting is over your eat in area of the kitchen? Can you attach a photo of it. Because this area appears to be open to the work area, the lighting should compliment eachother.

Great kitchen by the way. Really nice.

It is actually the same fixture over the eat in kitchen, so I will be switching that out to a chandelier for sure .

Any particular style chandelier you favour? May be best to start there.

I have always dreamed of having a crystal chandelier but would 2 small versions be too much for the kitchen?

I think it would look great. Just make sure it will provide enlighten light for your space.

Agree with mveasey about enough light. Also need to be careful with size of the fixture. What is your ceiling height? You should be able to use shorter pendants or flush mounts in that space. Both of these have 3 bulbs (Pendant 40W G9) and Flush mount 60W Cand.)

Chandeliers would be awesome!! I would make sure that whatever lighting you select that its easy to wipe off. Residuals from grease etc will build up and you'll want to wipe it off. Nice kitchen.

I like it because it is bronze hardware. the ones above are beautiful but I don't think chrome works in this kitchen.

Any fixture that is placed in the center of a kitchen will not provide counter top or inside cabinet illumination. When you stand at the counter the light source will be behind you creating a shadow. Selective a decorative fixture for the center and place recessed fixtures directly over the counter top edge. The new recessed should be on a separate dimmer switch. Recessed fixtures maybe installed without drywall damage using a remodel "cut-in" type like a Halo H5RICAT housing.

I love the lantern lights - will have to locate the right one so you have enough clearance. They are a new great look to a traditional classic style.

Beautiful kitchen! We would suggest either two wide ceiling mount fixtures (why not do crystal on these) and a matching hanging chandelier for the dining room. If your ceilig height allows for it, two "mini" chandeliers would also be stunning in the kitchen, as well. Because your cabinets are white, you can easily go with a nickel/chrome finish as well as oil rubbed bronze to bring out your hardware in the room. You have neutral colors, so basically any finish would work out nicely.

One of the fixtures you posted is nice, however looks like the size of the fixture may look a little small in the room.
