Their kitchen was dark and inefficient. The cabinets felt cluttered and the storage was there, but not functional for this family. They wanted all new finishes; especially new cabinets, but the floors were going to stay and be refinished. No wall relocation was needed but adding a door into the dining room to block the view from the front into the kitchen was discussed. They wanted to bring in more light somehow and preferably natural light. There was an unused sink in the butler’s pantry that they wanted capped, giving them more space and organized storage was a must! In their living room, they love their fireplace because it reminds her of her home in Colorado, so that definitely had to stay but everything else was left to the designers. After all decisions were made, this gorgeous kitchen and living space came to life! It is bright, open and airy, just like our clients wanted. Soft White Shiloh cabinetry was installed with a contrasting Cocoa island. Honed Levantina Taj Mahal quartzite was a beautiful countertop for this space. Bedrosians Grace 4”x 12” wall tile in Panna was the backsplash throughout the kitchen. The stove wall is flanked with dark wooden shelves on either side of vent-a-hood creating a feature area to the cook area. A beautiful maple barn door with seeded baroque tempered glass inserts was installed to close off the pantry and giving them more room than a traditional door. The original wainscoting remained in the kitchen and living areas but was modified in the kitchen where the cabinets were slightly extended and painted white throughout. LED tape lighting was installed under the cabinets, LED lighting was also added to the top of the upper glass cabinets, in addition to the grow lights installed for their herbs. All of the light fixtures were updated to a timeless classic look and feel. Imbrie articulating wall sconces were installed over the kitchen window/sink and in the butler’s pantry and aged brass Hood classic globe pendants were hung over the island, really drawing your attention to the kitchen. The Alturas fixture from SeaGull Lighing now hangs in the center of the living room, where there was once an outdated ceiling fan. In the living room, the walls were painted white, while leaving the wood and stone fireplace, as requested, leaving an absolutely amazing contrast! The project is located in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. The client’s a young family and the husband is a very passionate cook. The kitchen was a gut renovation. The all white kitchen mixes modern and traditional elements with an oversized island, storage all the way around, a buffet, open shelving, a butler’s pantry and appliances that steal the show. Details include: -Subzero refrigerator, Scott custom designed a flip up stainless cabinetry above the side-by-side subzero to create a taller and monolithic look. -The absolute best stone was used- Calacatta Suprema countertops with a honed finish -White cabinetry by Dresner Design private label line with De Angelis -Hardware from Katonah with a burnished nickel finish -Sconces by O’Lampia above the buffet -Backsplash tile is custom dye lot from Artistic Tile, Pratt Larson -Custom sinks by Havens for cleaning fish descaling - Plumbing fixtures from Studio 41- main sink

A traditional kitchen with touches of the farmhouse and Mediterranean styles. We used cool, light tones adding pops of color and warmth with natural wood.

This white-on-white kitchen design has a transitional style and incorporates beautiful clean lines. It features a Personal Paint Match finish on the Kitchen Island matched to Sherwin-Williams "Threshold Taupe" SW7501 and a mix of light tan paint and vibrant orange décor. These colors really pop out on the “white canvas” of this design. The designer chose a beautiful combination of white Dura Supreme cabinetry (in "Classic White" paint), white subway tile backsplash, white countertops, white trim, and a white sink. The built-in breakfast nook (L-shaped banquette bench seating) attached to the kitchen island was the perfect choice to give this kitchen seating for entertaining and a kitchen island that will still have free counter space while the homeowner entertains. Inspiration for a contemporary kitchen remodel in Seattle

This amazing, U-shaped Memorial (Houston, TX 77024) custom kitchen design was influenced by the "The Great Gatsby" era with its custom zinc flared vent hood with nickel plated laminate straps. This terrific hood flares in on the front and the sides. The contrasting finishes help to add texture and character to this fully remodeled kitchen. This hood is considerably wider than the cooktop below. It's actually 60" wide with an open back splash and no cabinets on either side. We love to showcase vent hoods in most of our designs because it serves as a great conversation piece when entertaining family and friends. A good design tip is to always make the vent hood larger than the stove. It makes an incredible statement! The antiqued, mirror glass cabinets feature a faux finish with a furniture like feel. The large back splash features a zig zag design, often called "chevron pattern." The french sconces with nickel plated shades are beautifully displayed on each side of the gorgeous "La Cornue" stove adding bling to the kitchen's magnificence and giving an overall elegant look with easy clean up. Additionally, there are two (2) highbrow chandeliers by Curry & Company, gives the kitchen the love needed to be a step above the norm. The island bar has a farmhouse sink and a full slab of "Fantasy Brown" marble with seating for five. There is tons of storage throughout the kitchen with plenty of drawer and cabinet space on both sides of the island. The sub-zero refrigerator is totally integrated with cupboards and drawers to match. Another advantage of this variety of refrigeration is that you create furniture-style cabinetry. This is a truly great idea for a dateless design transformation in Houston with raised-panel cupboards and paneled appliances. Polished nickel handles, drawer pulls and faucet hardware complete the design.

The owner's custom hood was vented to the outside. Master Carpenters framed the knee wall and custom built Banquette seating. The cabinetry and appliances were installed and enhanced by the installation of: curio lights, under cabinet lights, and and pendant lights. Finally, the owner's hardwood flooring was patched and refinished. This was a remarkable remodel.

Location: Nantucket, MA, USA This classic Nantucket home had not been renovated in several decades and was in serious need of an update. The vision for this summer home was to be a beautiful, light and peaceful family retreat with the ability to entertain guests and extended family. The focal point of the kitchen is the La Canche Chagny Range in Faience with custom hood to match. We love how the tile backsplash on the Prep Sink wall pulls it all together and picks up on the spectacular colors in the White Princess Quartzite countertops. In a nod to traditional Nantucket Craftsmanship, we used Shiplap Panelling on many of the walls including in the Kitchen and Powder Room. Pull and replace modifications to this kitchen layout included removal of the Tuscan-style vent hood enclosure which was replaced with a streamlined stainless-steel vent hood. New honed marble countertops were installed throughout the kitchen with a simpler edge detail, giving the space a more modern feel. Other amenities included a new white subway tile backsplash, glass bubble pendant lighting, and recessed LED lights. The existing cabinets were painted a crisp, modern white, providing just the right touch of “contemporary elegance” that the homeowners wanted.
