We purchased a duplex in San Francisco that was in desperate need of repair, but offered an opportunity for a customized rebuild. We needed an architect to explore ideas and reimagine what is possible for this space. We were referred to 2M Architecture based on their expertise. From the initial consultation to the final walk through, they were a pleasure to work with. 2M and team understood our goals and budget requirements, offered suggestions and different design options that best fit our needs, were attentive to detail, were responsive and gave thorough feedback, and helped us navigate SF building code and procedures. Additionally, they worked well with our contractors to keep our project moving forward. We are delighted with the overall results, and our newly renovated unit is exactly how we imagined it. We look forward to working with them in the future to renovate our other unit, and would recommend 2M Architecture to anyone wishing to renovate their home. Big shout out to Mark, Marc and Hemant for making our dream come true!

2M Architects are the best architects we know and have worked with. They are professional, fast, keep their word, create great plans and are excellent designers. You can't go wrong with them no matter which way you look at it. If something becomes complex on a job they are right there available using their skills to sort it out. All of their jobs come out beautifully with happy customers. I know this sounds hard to believe but I can't find a bad thing to say about them. My only fear is they retire or move away!! Thanks for all your hard work 2M, we know you've spent years building this path to where you are now are. 100% PROFESSIONAL!!

2M Architecture are true wizards! Our contractor Tapia Construction & Restoration suggested we talk to 2M after our current architect could not figure out how to create a plan that would suit our needs and our budget and was stalling out our project. Well 2M came in, spent the time to hear what my wife and I wanted to accomplish, and came back with a perfect plan. We had lived in the house for 12 years at this point, and had spent all 12 of those years asking every professional we could how to solve for a design issue. I had spent countless hours trying to come up with a solution myself. With one meeting, 2M solved our issue in the most elegant way possible, this is why they earn the title Wizard in my book. Mark and Marc are both delightful humans, and great to work with. They listen, offer suggestions and advice, and are always willing to take the time to explain things in a way I could understand. Wallace Remodeling, Inc.

We are a general contractor, Wallace Remodeling, and we have worked together with 2M on a number of projects. The architects at 2M - Mark Tetrault and Marc Lindsell, are extremely competent and easy to work with. It is a piece of cake to get on the same page with them because their end goal is a happy and satisfied client. They have done various projects with us, including a super complicated modern stair addition, and a lower addition. Each project has come out exactly as the client hoped. On top of this they are easy to contact and to coordinate with on plan questions and they show up at the job site at the drop of a hat. Thank you for your excellent works and we look forward to doing more projects together!

I have only high praise for the 2M Architecture team. Frankly, I do not know how I would have managed through our home remodeling without their help. First of all, they helped us develop plans, along with alternatives, to meet our needs and our cost requirements. Secondly, they “held our hands” through the many steps and, let’s face it, sometimes the headaches of the construction project. The skillsets of co-owners, Marc and Mark, complement each other wonderfully. Marc Lindsell had the vision for the design and was able to execute architectural plans with such precision that the San Francisco Building Department gave us immediate approval, which is quite a miracle. He would come onsite during the construction to ensure that the contractors were building infrastructure, walls, and surfaces according to the plans. Mark Tetrault provided superb guidance in the design, color choices, materials selection, and overall “look” for the various finishes. Both of the guys helped with solving issues that arose during the construction process itself, and, generally, acted as advisors (and sometimes counselors) to us as homeowners. I heartily recommend 2M Architecture for their excellent work – and for their friendly and professional manner.

They are a delight to work with, very professional, brimming with creative ideas, and always collaborating with the other professionals involved in the project. They work with integrity and are extremely detail oriented. When possible they will make suggestions on how to improve the design and longevity of the project by introducing Green elements to the construction. We hired 2M Architecture to help us transform our house into our dream home! And they did that and much more. Marc and Mark took the time to get to know us and really understand what we were trying to accomplish. They asked all the right questions and incorporated our "wish list" into a wonderful design for our home. But their services didn't end with our plans - they worked with our contractor, helping to oversee the project from beginning to end. During the project, when we needed some extra help with all those finishing touches (that can drive you crazy), they offered guidance and practical recommendations so we could get it done. We've been back in our new home for over a year now and we still marvel at how much we love our new home. 2M Architecture is amazing!

We wanted something different in Palo Alto. We had a small project, but wanted something more unique than recent designs I had seen. This was the firm to work with! They created a wonderful living space - addition and remodel - within an older 1949 house - to accommodate our kids turning into teens, but within the confines of our smaller budget. They came up with multiple designs and we ended up adding an additional family room and remodeling the living areas, including the kitchen. Marc and Mark not only came up with great ideas for the limited space, but helped us with design choices as well. They were great communicators and worked very well with our contractor, making sure we got what we wanted and needed. I'm very grateful for many choices that they urged me to make - which is hard because you can't predict how you will use the space (glass doors to the family room, with a unique sizing that works PERFECTLY). Their design brought more light into the house as well and combined all the spaces into a cohesive living space.
