My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

About Us

Design/Build/Renovate/Restore custom homes. Our custom home design to build services include architectural and designer services as needed all the way through decorating after move-in. Our renovations range from kitchen or bath facelifts or complete kitchen or bath rebuilds, partial or whole house renovations. Our restoration work ranges from restoring sections of an old architectural home to doing a complete restoration of a period home as old as the late 1800's. Eddie was very responsive to my request for a quote and helpful in choosing the right products, etc. for my deck and screened porch enclosure. His guys were on the job late into the night on the hottest days of summer to get my project finished. I can highly recommend them for your next project.

I highly recommend Howard Custom Builders/Renovators! They provided superb service, excellent craftsmanship, all at a reasonable price for a major renovation in a music facility at Anderson University. You will be delighted that you hired these contractors!

Be very careful with Howard Custom Builders. They have a bad habit and are known by the industry to not paying their bills. They have built several larger homes and due to money issues, He doesn't resolve problems once you move in. And because he doesn't pay his sub's on time they either place or threaten to place liens on the new homes. Not what you want to deal with when you are building a house. Find a better builder. If he disagrees ask him for the contacts of the 4 homes he built in Willow Ridge for references.

We love Eddie with Howard Custom Builders. He has done two renovations for us including building a new garage, renovating our 1929 bungalow and building the space above the garage into a small apartment. With both renovations, we had someone at our house almost everyday. Eddie was able to do both our projects quickly because we had time constraints and he was able to start them faster than we were ready for. He is easy to work with and very patient and friendly.

I would not recommend doing any work for this company. They will not pay their contractors. He has a mechanics lien against his residence due to not paying his subcontractors.

From beginning to end Howard Custom Builders met and exceeded our greatest expectations. The scope of the project was overwhelming but Mr. Howard made us feel at ease and we had confidence he could deliver. The project began with a casual meeting. He listened to our design wishes and requirements. We needed walls taken out, new lighting, new flooring, windows, new kitchen, new rock face on the fireplace and additions or enhancements to every room in the house. Eddie and the sub contractors went above and beyond what we could have ever dreamed of. Great Job!!

Eddie was one of the best contractors I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He was very knowledge, dependable and responsive through the entire process. When building our plan/vision, he was very hands on in the design process, transparent about what our budget would allow and made sure we didn’t exceed it. And each time we had a question or concern, he addressed it immediately (even in person when he could). He had a lot of good suggestions and resources. He even let me borrow a few of his personal tools for a few side projects I was working on. He was very trustworthy and all around a good person. I’m looking forward to our next remolding phase with him. And most importantly, the end result was exactly what we envisioned and more. A++

Eddie was one of the few contractors in Greenville who got back to us right away and he kept that level of communication throughout our entire project. He is friendly, warm and honest. He did an amazing job on our addition and we highly recommend him.

Howard Custom Builders did a wonderful job on our master bath remodel. The tradesmen were skilled and respectful of our property. Eddie Howard had many good design ideas and material choices. His insight made our decision making easier. We would definitely recommend this company.
