Pacifica is a Vancouver area, Nationally Awarded Landscape Design Firm that specializes in dramatic outdoor living spaces! They are dedicated to providing a high standard of design and professional services, from conceptual designs and working drawings, to project management and construction installation. The team at Pacifica prides themselves in being a recognized leader in their field providing creative solutions for passionate outdoor living. Owner and Principle Designer Michael Bjorge is continually studying, innovating and improving his art, with passion! His prints are for sale at: www.michaelbjorgefineart.com Michael also provides landscape consulting services including some of the following services tailored specifically to the landscape design and construction industry; - Independent landscape site inspections & deficiency reports for homeowners or strata’s concerned with the level of workmanship of the installed landscape work on their property. Assistance with dispute resolutions, and expert witness services. These services are offered to homeowners, strata corporations and commercial clients. These services are designed to be 100% objective and unbiased. We ask that the clients do not divulge the name of the contractors they are working with. - Project Management service offered on an ongoing basis for the duration of a landscape construction project that has been designed and is being implemented by an independent landscape contractor outside of the PLW network. These services offer clients piece of mind that their projects and being implemented to industry standards, their designs are being followed, and specifications are being used accurately. These services may be valuable to clients that do not have the time or knowledge to properly oversee their projects or even know what to look for as far as deficiencies and workmanship.

Bad choice. We had to change his plans completely. Always was worried about payment not quality. Overcharged for a overall poor quality design. Many other designers out there do a much better job for far less money. Stay away from this guy. Replicates a few of his outdated designs very little original thought. Emailed Michael notifying him of the quality and got no email back.

We were originally hired by this client to only provide a planting plan, but wanting to go above and beyond I also offered them a whole range of options to help improve their hardscape plan. When some of the suggestion were not accepted the client was concerned that the revisions were going to be charged back to him but I assured him I would include an extra free round of revisions to ensure his planting plan was revised to his liking, and I provided that round of revisions. After this was completed I did not hear from them for over three months. I then received a condescending email stating that my work was sub par even after I had done a number of additional site visits and extra revisions. I do not want to engage or provide any additional services for him as I do not feel he conducts himself in a professional manner. I have since drove by the property and it looks as though the project has slowed or stopped, and landscape installation is not even close to being commenced. A planting plan has no value if it is not installed and installed well. This client has no reference to say this planting plan is sub par as it has not been, and cannot even be visualized without its execution onsite. Every design revision they requested was provided, including an extra un paid revision. The client is also conducting work on the site which is not permitted by the City of Surrey, and we will be bringing this to their attention.

We had our backyard re-imagined with the help of Michael. He helped design a breathtaking oasis zen space for me and my family. We are in love with our backyard and so is everyone else who see's it, over and over again. Michael is very professional to work with and introduced an equally professional team to help install the vision and help bring it to life. I couldn't have asked for more. Our backyard was a BIG investment however worth every shiny penny and we have no regrets as it brings me the serenity, peace of mind and joy every time I get a glimpse of my backyard. I would highly recommend Michael's collaboration in bringing whatever vision you may have to life. I found him by searching online for things that inspired me and it took me over a year to land on the pages of his work. The pictures of his previous work gave me the kind of vibe I was after. He was patient in understanding our specific vision and understood the details that were needed to get the result we wanted. After Michael developed the blueprint of our vision from our discussions, we were able to go back and forth with Michael and the installation team to ensure all the details were ironed out at the specs level. We kept Michael on board as a project manager during the installation phase because it's important to ensure your vision is being executed properly. We continued to collaborate until the very end and we are now in heaven every time we step outside and can sit out there for hours and time has no meaning in our oasis. We are so blessed to have come across Michael as he helped bring a piece of heaven into our lives :)

Having lived in our home for 20 years, we came to a place where we were eager to embrace a complete overhaul of both our front and back yard. Our front yard was completely overgrown and blocking out most sunlight. The back yard was extremely boring, as it graced only one large area of grass where the boys used to play. It was definitely time to change things up and create a space for us to enjoy. The only problem was, that we had no idea where to begin. Although we were able to identify a few key elements that were important to us, we could not picture how these could be brought together and translate into a space that was both beautiful and functional. We knew how we wanted the end result to ‘feel’, but did not know how to achieve it. This is when Michael stepped in and came to the rescue! We happened to notice his company page Pacifica Landscape Works Inc. on the Houzz website and figured we’d give him a chance. Well, so glad we did! He was the best discovery ever! He listened so intently as we shared our hopes and dreams with him. When he returned a few weeks later and presented us with his landscape design drawings, we were absolutely speechless. His landscape design captured every single element we had discussed, translating all our various thoughts and ideas into a beautifully designed and practical space. It was super helpful to be able to see everything come together on paper. It gave us the opportunity to visualize the end result and make any changes to the project prior to or during its commencement. The landscape design drawings were detailed, to scale, and offered a great reference point for the crew to install the design. Thank you, Michael! You have been an incredible gift to us and we will be forever grateful to you for helping us create our dream yard. You have been an immense pleasure to work with. Mike was a pleasure to work with. We hired him to provide our front and backyard with a complete makeover. He provided with alternative design options and was very professional and honest with giving us the pros and cons of all options. He was mindful that we required a design that is easy to maintain and that it cannot exceed a certain budget. He was on top of things so we felt comfortable that the project would turn out well and on time. We were so happy with the result and received a lot of compliments during the summer when we had friends over. If you are looking for a professional who is responsible, reliable and easy to work with and has great taste, I would highly recommend Mike for landscaping design work.

He was very professional, extremely patient in asking the right questions to understand our needs and was intuitive and creative to say the least. Commented: Gorgeous water colour! What is the interior finish?Hi Kristy It is white plaster finish on the pool shell which creates this colour of the water. It is a little darker as the pool is quite deep.
