Reveal Design LLC

We had Reveal plan and totally relandscape (including adding a lot of new hardscapes) to our modest front and back yards. (Total lot is about 1/3 acre.) Sean and his team provided excellent turnkey design - build services. Beautiful and practical design coupled with detailed, careful, craftsmanship. Communication could be a little better at times but they were always available to promptly straighten out any issues. Very honest and fair. We would highly recommend.

Very professional and high quality service! Sean and team helped us make the highest and best use of our yard (deck replacement, retaining wall addition, regrading, new downspout piping, new sod, landscaping, lighting). Communication was great throughout and the quality of work and commitment to ensuring we were 100% satisfied was much appreciated. We plan to work with the RD team next summer to finish our backyard with a patio.

We hired Sean and his team to design and build our pergola and beverage bar on our terrace. This was our second time working with Sean, and we could not be happier with his refreshing sense of creativity, utmost professionalism and his genuine desire to make us happy at every step of the way. Reveal Design was terrific throughout the process...great design ideas and great execution of the ideas into a fantastic landscape design. Sean came up with ideas we would never have come up ourselves and the computer generated drawings really helped visualize the concepts. Sean and his team were great to work with! They completely redid our small, city backyard, but made it more useable and inviting. We had a backyard flooding problem that he seemed to fix. He also spent a lot of time with us at a nursery to walk us through various options. His team was hard working, prompt and clean and one day - his foreman even patched a hole in my flat tire for which I am still grateful. You pay a premium to work with Reveal, but it's worth it.

We hired Reveal Designs to build out our rooftop. We could not be more pleased. This review goes with the pictures of the "Old Town Family Retreat". Our roof needed to be replaced, which meant our old deck had to be removed. We hired Sean to design and build the new deck. Working with Sean was such a pleasure. He came up with a beautiful design that totally transformed our roof space!!! He was always available if we needed him and his team was great to work with. We had concerns about needing access to the flat roof, in case we had leaks again and he decided tile on a pedestal system would be perfect for our location. This way we could easily remove parts of the deck if there were future issues with the roof. The high quality tile came from Italy and was a mix of brown plank design and plain white. Having the two colors created a beautiful contrast between our dining and lounge area. He also created a green space by using a very high quality artificial turf. He custom built two tall wooden planters for the boxwood plants, moveable tall planters for decorative grass that could be rolled away in winter for easy access to the roof's down spout and low white planters for a climbing plant. The wood siding as well as the tall boxwood containers and the trellis was painted in a weathered marine grade grey. This tied everything together beautifully. He installed high quality LED lighting that is controllable via an iPhone app. Lots of settings and themes available with the push of a button! And automatic on and off programs. An automatic irrigation system with timer provided a maintenance free rooftop garden full of beautiful green plants! Finally he recomended a 360 degree moveable commercial grade umbrella from Shademaker. This made it possible for us to use both the lounge and dining sections of the roofdeck on a sunny day without the need for two umbrella's. Our roof deck is now the pride and joy of our home. A transformation from a small boring traditional wooden deck to a contemporary haven that utilizes all our roof space and feels so much bigger than it is. It has been two years since the transformation and everything still looks as good as when it was first done! Plants, tile, lighting, artificial turf and wooden siding. No maintenance needed other than a little plant pruning. Very happy!!

Sean is refusing to stand by the warranty of his work. Project came in twice the original and agreed upon budget, all assurances that he knew code and permit process were inaccurate and untrue. 6 months after he took 9k, he needed to redo all project plans and permits and the new work came at double the original cost. Worst of all 10.5 months later after top patio has settles and presented a 6' by 3' puddle right outside my back door he is now refusing to stand by his work and regrade. Work is over-priced and under supported, certainly do not sign his contract, and perhaps the best advice I can give is go elsewhere....
