While always ready with an elegant recommendation, rather than imposing a style, they bring their nuanced aesthetic sense to enrich each client's individual needs and proclivities. We used Emilie to help us figure out what to do with our new house after we bought it in the spring of 2013 -- it needed a major update in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as a refresh in the other rooms. She helped us figure out layout and materials, assisted with overseeing the construction, and also helped us with furniture and accessory decisions in several rooms. She even spent one evening hanging up alphabet letters to decorate our playroom. We were so pleased to work with her -- her enthusiasm, professionalism, and creativity made the process fun and easy. We hope to work with her again in the future!

When navigating the day to day desires/needs of life, you occasionally come across someone who is working in a profession they were born to be in. Such is the scenario of Emilie Munroe, AMAZING interior designer. I met Emilie, quite by accident; in fact, I was referred to her by one of her professional colleagues being told that she was fabulous. Emilie did a beautiful job, creating an urban chic, sophisticated apt. using all the information we had discussed in a pre-project conversation. She was a joy to work with, energetic, enthusiastic, and creative from beginning to end, inclusive of furnishings, paint selection, carpeting, wall paper, art, and accessories. The contractors she uses in the project are also professional, respectful, and excellent at their respective crafts. Ours was a good size project; there may have been stressful moments, but I knew of none of them. Emilie manages all of the details with finesse and grace. She is truly the ultimate professional, who reads her clients, listens, and delivers a flawless space created to thrill.

I used Emilie for two different projects and LOVED both experiences. The first was to help furnish and design our living room, dining room and family room. It was my first time using a designer and I wasn't sure we needed it, but Emilie came highly recommended by friends and I'm so glad we took the plunge. The process was so smooth and so fun - she totally got our style and need for durable family-friendly materials, stuck within our budget and came up with creative solutions, all working efficiently and around our schedule. The end result was a million times better than what I would have done on my own with a Room and Board catalogue. When we bought a new house, we now had all the furniture but needed some advice on renovations. Emilie stepped in originally just to help with tile selection and ended up basically managing the whole project, including creating detailed elevations, interfacing with the contractor and subs, and recommending/coordinating/installing lights, fixtures, paint, carpet, flooring while I was super pregnant and then having my second kid. A total life-saver, and a wonderful person. Our house turned out better than I could have ever imagined. I can't recommend Emilie more highly!!
