TKO Structure

We met Terrance through a landscaper that came highly recommended. Well, we didn't end up using the landscaper, but tko structure was great! He turned our 2 in to a 10 and worked long and hard with the three projects we gave him. It all started with a farmhouse fence, then a side gate entry area then the front porch where we are going to put up a hanging swing. Look at his before and afters on his impressive website. He cares, he is honest, he is an artist! A+ job Terrance! Thank you for making us the envy of the neighborhood.

My wife and I contacted TKO a few months ago about building us a patio cover in our Venice backyard and Terrence was very responsive and helpful in walking us through the design process. He took his time to show us multiple different options and was patient with us while we figured out what we wanted. Perhaps most impressive was that when we settled on what we wanted to do, he gave us a date certain on which he could do the work and he delivered. We were impressed by his service, professionalism and workmanship. And his prices were in line with other quotes we received. I would definitely recommend TKO and will use them again.

We hired TKO Structures about 4 years ago to make 3 Ipe gates and 2 Ipe wall extensions on our mid century property in Nichols Canyon. We were so pleased with the job that we recently called them back to install a railing to match the previous work. Terrence, the owner, was prompt returning our calls and attentive to our needs; he even made clever suggestions about design and structure. As a customer, his perfectionism and attention to detail are as enjoyable as rare in the industry. In addition to having a pleasant personality, he is clearly passionate about wood and comes across as a true artist in his field. He has now become our go-to professional for our Ipe needs. His prices are a bit on the high side (though not the highest) but you get the highest quality job you can possibly get for it. If I could, I would give TKO structures more stars!

Terrence and his team at TKO have built two vehicle gates, an intricately-designed pedestrian gate and redone our wooden exterior railings. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this team. They are dependable, professional and take upmost pride in their work. They use the best quality materials and take the time to explain the differences in woods. Also, when faced with a difficult task, they are careful to research options and propose creative solutions that are sound long-term. Terrence will go the extra mile, also, to do little things that we appreciate. When taking down an upstairs railing on our porch, for instance, he installed some metal netting to protect the kids from falling, without my asking. Total A+++!

After discovering Terrence/TKO Structure on Houzz, I worked with him to refinish our redwood deck and design/build a new Ipe entry gate. The deck was peeling and in awful condition after a prior contractor used an acrylic stain. The results were nothing short of miraculous! Terrence and his crew were meticulous about removing the old products from the 1,900+ square foot deck and prepping the wood for his oil-based treatment. And the new gate is a beautiful piece. Between the deck and gate, our outdoor space has been transformed.

I am a landscape designer who has worked with TKO many times. I am always impressed with the work ethic, quality of work, and attention to detail. Terrence has a great sense of design, is a great collaborator and always works to achieve the perfect outcome for my clients.
