A historic estate on Sunset Blvd. in the heart of Beverly Hills provided a rare opportunity to create a 360 degree wraparound rooftop deck for this client's forth story penthouse gym.

Our starting point was to overlay a virtual grid over the sloped roof to create our 'checkerboard' pattern. We then floated beams and joists off the main penthouse to create the necessary design elements and structural support for the decking and double picture-frame borders. Concealed fasteners helped to give the deck a clean finished look.
