Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc.

The design process is an intimate union between designer and client. We are collaborating to create not just a home, but a lifestyle. Each project is individually conceived and meticulously crafted to accommodate all the needs of my clients.

My ultimate goal is to create interior spaces that reflect my client's personalities and interests. Creating a home that is endlessly interesting, timeless and executes each client's definition of their own "personal comfort".

A house is not a home. Until we make it one. Yours.

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. The upper cabinets (and lower cabinets) were a custom mix of paints with an "antiquing dust" applied over them. The contractor had his guys do that custom for the client.

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. That is a "new" suzani blanket. We purchased the fabric from Brunschwig and Fils and had our seamstress make it for us. Unfortunately, the fabric has been discontinued.

genesplicr I love the photos and art...not offended in the least. Can you tell us the artist?
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Thanks so much for the nice comment. The large rectangular piece over the bed is from a local Los Angeles artist named Doug Cox. His web site is..... http://www.artslant.com/global/artists/show/12750-doug-cox . FYI every piece of art in this bedroom is from a different artist.

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. Thanks for the comment. All the tile in this bath was from Lascaux Tile Co. www.lascauxtile.net. The green banding border tile was "Jasmin 12x5 Moroccan Mosaic tiles". The white tile below is a Moroccan shaped glazezed tile.

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Thanks. Yes...that is a great look. Especially for "modern" looking homes. Contractors don't always like it though, because it takes a lot of work to make it look good. The "base" is wood. Then there is a metal "C" channel above it which gets painted out to match the wall color. That forms that “reveal” line which is so nice. Then drywall is installed on top of the “C” channel.

Sheldon Moser Thanks for the quick reply! I had someone interested in doing a more modern trim and figured that the process would most likely be more labour intensive. Thanks

Bobbie Glowney Is the large bell an antique or new? If it is new, can you share where it came from?

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. It's a granite material named "Buxy Cendre". Was in limited supply a few years ago, so I'm not sure how available it is now. You can get a similar look with "Lagus Azul". Lagus Azul will be a little more "grey" and not as "warm" looking as the Buxy. The island stone top is white carrera marble. The kitchen backsplash tiles are from Ann Sacks. www.annsacks.com and yes, they are a mix of off white colors.

Bobbie Glowney Your light fixture selection for this project are amazing. Are any of them new, if so, where were they purchased. Love your work!
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. Thanks for the comment. Yes...many are reproductions that can still be made. The majority of the light fixtures came from www.rebornantiques.net here in Los Angeles.

Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. I'm not sure. Our clients are big art collectors and had that piece before we met them. Next time I speak to them I can ask them. Thanks for the question.
