my builder used PARTICLE BOARD for our EXTERIOR columns, which clearly won't hold up in the weather.... are these pvc?? thanks!
it means there's a functional column inside like 4x4, then wood was added (furred) to give it volume. Then it was wrapped in the trim board.

You are very welcome. It does in fact appear that way at first; however, looking closely it has a trim build up detail at the top of the columns. Every kitchen is different, but again, the 1.5" is a good standard to go by and is what we based our overhang on for this. Good luck with your
