We have two sliding glass doors and want to hang drapes that pull one-way. This would require a decorative traverse rod that has the little clips to attach the drapes.

1. Does anyone have any advice on this concept?
2. Do the drapes stay well on the clips or do they have a tendency to pull off?
3. Is there another economical way to hang one-way drapes without the ugly old-fashioned Kirsch style traverse rods requiring a valance over them?

Our style is contemporary and minimalist -- would love to leave doors bare, but need to filter sun and don't want ugly/costly vertical blinds
