We are having our kitchen remodeled. Well lit kitchen due to full window-area in dining section. The look is sophisticated, minimalist, somewhat European. We have clean-lined, cherry wood cabinets (stained espresso) with Bianco Romano granite and medium-tone hardwood floor. Over the large island are 2 industrial pendants (we have 10' ceilings). My question is regarding lighting over the 84" rectangular medium wood table in the dining area. I like the look of some of the less fussier chandeliers (like the Bling one) but am wondering if it will clash with our stated style. If not this light fixture, any other suggestions? The pendants will be very visible from the main entry into the kitchen, and the dining area is in the backdrop. I think I'd like an airy fixture that won't compete or clash with the stainless steel industrial pendants or block the view to the windows. Also, we will have plenty of recessed lights but I would like the table fixture to cast light across the large table (not looking for subtle illumination). Similar pendant style picture is attached but this isn't our kitchen. Thanks!
