Hi and thanks for the question! The whole tub deck is 8'-11" long by 4'-1 1/2" wide. We don't have the exact dimensions of the tub as it was existing, but you are right, it is about 1-2" from the edges of the deck. The lip of the drop-in tub is the widest part, so there isn't really a maximum distance that the lip has to be away from the edges. Hope this helps!

Who is the manufacture of the tub?
