Landscaping - Pathway Help

We have to rebuild our deck this summer and plan to use composite decking. A little difficult to see from the photos, but we have a wooden pathway that wraps around our entire yard. We don't particularly want to use composite for the pathway as it is quite pricey. Does anyone have any ideas what else we could use or do for the pathway?

Hello!

You could add some flowers along the edges to brighten up your backyard, and if you don't actually walk on it you could add lawn plants or statues.

It looks like it is separate from your deck so it could remain wood. Just make sure there is separation between the materials. Another suggestion is stepping stones of any variety with a complimentary gravel or pebble.

Gravel is probably the cheapest of paving. Grasses or vines up on the fence would be nice. I don't really see the decking around the edge as a path but more an edging so I would think of changing it to something more interesting.
