Need help on bathroom vanity, sconces, mirror placement and size

I've come to realize I get a little obsessive on doing things perfect when it comes to design elements in my house. We're about to undergo a complete remodel of our only full bathroom and I want it done right. I don't want to regret my decisions after the fact especially since we're relocating plumbing. Ahhh - it stresses me out!

So, I'm looking to the Houzz community to help provide some ideas and suggestions.

Our bathroom is 8.5' x 6'. We'll be relocating all plumbing / fixtures in the space - tub will be moved to the back wall, new window to be installed (horizontal and away from showerhead), toilet moved over and a new vanity installed. Below are pics of the bathroom as it is today.

My dilemma is the size of the medicine cabinet/mirror with the sconces. Are they placed appropriately apart? Do you think the sconces are too close together and the one sconce next to the wall will be too close to the wall? I can get a smaller mirror/medicine cabinet if needed but I like the idea of having a taller mirror with a little more width. I'm 5'9 and my husband is 6'4 so a larger mirror is always nice. I already have the vanity/counter top so no flexibility there.

Thoughts/suggestions?
