It should go to another room where there is comfortable seating and a lovely picture go up instead. If your husband likes to watch TV while he's eating, a small one could be added in your kitchen - they come on a stand or can be hung from under the cupboards.

mfwolfe- it's even worse - we sit on hard stools at the center island and and have to look hard left to look at tv- I knew we would miss the tv while cooking and eating dinner ( hubby works till 7:30 pm) but like Maureen said, I thought a small tv that would fit in backsplash area would suffice. We've been in our home 20 years, no children, so we were quite used to dinner & tv, but no cell phones allowed during dinner!
