The barn doors are functional and secure, but they are not weather tight. They open to a porch, not to the house. The doors that to the inside of the house are screened glass sliding doors, which are weather tight.

We specialize in sliding barn doors and accessories. It sounds like your doors do not have some recommended accessories that will help them from knocking back and forth in the wind. The two that come to mind are snuggers and a jamb latch (I am assuming you already have some type of door guide).

The snuggers attach multiple panels together, or the panel to the jamb - as the wind blows the doors around, a chain slides down the snugger pulling the doors tighter together which will reduce the amount of rattling.

A jamb latch holds the panel snug against the jamb for a similar effect, but it makes the door relatively snug immediately instead of waiting for the door to knock around.
