Hannah, group like items together and don't line everything up evenly like little soldiers. Make a group of three cameras, then another group of two spaced a bit away or on a different shelf. Put your jars together, maybe with the cup.

Hannah, you have the same taste I had as a teenager and still have! I notice you also have a vintage typewriter, like my first one, on the lower night stand shelf! I believe the two divided picture frames behind/above the lamp on the left look a bit crowded, and I would suggest you relocate them. The mirror on the other side is a bit crowded too, and I suggest you put it on the wall above the desk/dressing table and under the bottom shelf. You might be able to put one of the divided picture frames on either side of the mirror. You mentioned curtains, and I would like to know if you are keeping the rose-print sheets. If so, you might look for curtains in a solid rose or a rose and white stripe. If you think the areas behind the lamps are too plain, you might get large frames and frame some rose-and-white striped material and place one behind each lamp. I would suggest you trade the green rug for fairly large, dark blue rugs to put on each side of the bed. You may want one at the foot of the bed as well. You have some really nice things and really need something like rose to complete the look.

I forgot to suggest that you might look for rose-and-white striped flat bed sheets from which you can make curtains. Chances are the "tops" of the sheets have pockets you can turn into headers for curtains. A matching pillow case probably would have sufficient fabric for the framed striped fabric to place behind the lamps. If you have an attached bath, you might use the same striped bed sheets for a bathroom curtain and fabric shower curtain placed over a vinyl liner.

Chenille with print sheets would be really cool.

Super cute! You have more room for socializing and projects w/ the bed against the wall, but I like it centered in the room best, have you slept in it against the wall? Maybe it is more cozy that way, really sweet . . . .

I like them both too. Have you ever tried centering the bed on that window? You could put the small nightstand to the left of it, the dresser to the right, and the desk at the foot of the bed where the dresser is in pic #1.

ETA- looking at it again I think the bed along the large wall like in your second pic is probably the best.

It's cute, Hannah, but you need a tighter grouping. It should look like a thoughtful composition rather than random stuff hung on the walls.

Put your adorable deer head in the middle, then pretend it's a jigsaw puzzle. Keep rearranging till you've got an arrangement that is tight and balanced, like so:

If you do it on a big piece of butcher paper, you can trace around the outlines, then tape the whole paper to the wall and pound your nails right through it. Rip the paper down, hang your stuff, easy peasy.

I dunno if you painted ur frames yet or not but I rally liked the blue and yellow ones you had especially with your light blue walls.... I'd keep those as ur main accent colors maybe look for linen in that color range/scheme.... Love what you did over the bed tho and you should def keep the bed in the mid of the room so u x cut off the window...... Keep it up and eventually you will get the room of ur dreams!

But I do think your bed would look lovely with white bedding plus an accent colour. A Maltese like this would be a good choice.

My suggestion for that shabby chic look was to add a little gallery wall, but I see you have already done that. Your room looks adorable.

Hi Hannah, nice job on the gallery wall! We would all love to help you some more, I think I can speak for more than myself anyway.
Can you help us narrow things down a bit please? What do you not like/like about your existing bedding, or do you just want a change? Do you have some feedback on any bedding already suggested? It's ok to say I want more colour, less colour, or that's too expensive.
If you do have kinda a vision, could you describe it? Do you want flowers, another print or plain? And something like a quilt, or duvet cover for a down comforter? And do you have a budget? Answer as many of these questions as you can. Thanks!

Thanks for the help everyone! I was trying to go for something like maybe in the photo that rosie left in a couple of comments above. I like the white bedding idea tied with some really nice pillows with a design on them. I don't really like the bedding I have now, there's not really any fun pillows you can put with it unless it is like a boring pink or green and I would much rather have something else. I hope I can find a gray or white bedding with texture and lots of fun pillows (anthropologie styled or urban outfitters) just fun stuff for teens!

I like groveraxle's idea about urban outfitters for the duvet... I think that maybe what's making you feel like the room is "off" is that everything feels vintage, which can make the room feel too one dimensional. You need something a little bit more modern to make the vintage elements pop:)

I am glad you understood my comment. I reread my comment and it was not worded well. The nice thing about white is Target and other stores would have stuff that is reasonably priced. Then find fun pillows from Urban outfitters or anthropologie.

Ok so I've had the frames for 2 months now, I absolutely love the moose head but I think the frames and everything else is too busy. I want a bedroom that has a calming feel to it. I still haven't found any bedding yet, Any suggestions? Thanks! My room still looks the same

Hi Hannah, I was just thinking of you the other day and wondering if you found bedding yet. Actually I seen this bedding on zulily.com and it reminded me of your room with the blue walls and white bed. It may not be what you are looking for style wise, but I think the colour scheme is good. A room with blue, white and taupe would be calming to me anyway.
As far as the picture grouping, try removing the black framed and the bright pink ones, then stand back and take a look. Does it feel calmer?

Maybe too safe for you though. How about something like this? Have you ever thought of painting your bed? It's an easy way to bring a modern look to an old style. Then replace some of your art with vintage patients or posters.

That's great, Hannah! I'm glad. I think the white iron bed speaks shabby chic, and you said you want something younger, but still vintage. I think the above look would work. Now bedding....Might be easier to pick that and then determine bed colour if you want colour in the bedding. For white or neutral bedding, bed frame colour is wide open. I wouldn't suggest pastel colours for bed frame though, bolder would be better.
If you want yellow bed frame, you could go with grey and white bedding, and add a throw in a darker blue than wall colour. I've seen some throws recently that are knitted, they would be cute on your bed. Some options from pottery barn and urban outfitters for grey/white bedding.
