Notice how the wall height is divided evenly into seven stripes?
Measure the height of your wall and do the math to get the same effect.

Could you please help me figure out how wide should my stripes be. I measured the length of the wall and it's 7ft. And 9 and a half ft. Tall. I'm considering doing this on one wall in my kitchen which has a door. Do you think it would look okay?
