Hello, fine folks of the Houzz community.

I live in a San Francisco 2BR/1BA home. Currently, the only bathroom is down the hall from the two bedrooms. The bedrooms each have access to a shared sunroom at the very back of the house, however, I've used it as a personal office space up until now. While this setup has worked well for the last 8 years, I recently turned 30 and share a morning schedule with my roommate, necessitating another place for me to shower. Hence, one of my top priorities is adding master bathroom.

I've taken rough measurements of the sunroom, and I'm including some photos (please excuse the clutter!) I've also attached a crude sketch I've concocted (the marks which look like lowercase b's are entryways.) I'm certainly no expert, but I believe one of the bedroom entryways could be covered up. I can easily switch rooms with my roommate, so which one becomes the master isn't too important.

The room is approximately 14ft by 9ft, and the height to the ceiling is about 9ft. The left side bedroom entryway is at an angle. It has old single pane windows on 3 out of 4 walls, but they'd have to be replaced or covered up in some places anyways. What I'm thinking may be best: make the bedroom on the right the master bedroom and entryway for the bathroom, covering off the left side entryway. I'd also like to add a doorway on the left side of the room, where I'd have stairs and a deck built outside around the same time.

I'd prefer a modern style (nice appliances, double vanity sinks, etc,) but nothing too sterile that feels out of place from the rest of the house. A separate bathtub and shower would be great, but if I had to pick only one, I'd select a standing shower.

I'd It goes without saying, this will be a professional job and I'll need to hire a contractor. There's a lot of work ahead, and I'm thankful for your tips!
