We just purchased this home and this room has a nice big fireplace. I am thinking of keeping the brick for now, but I do not care for the shelving on one side of the fireplace. Also I think the mantle is too high and eventually we will want to put a flatscreen TV up there so the furniture works better. Any ideas for design or should we paint it? Ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!
