What would work well for you is to invest a few dollars in a corner fancy banquette for the corner where your breakfront is - put it on the wall across - this will save you about three feet for the entrance to the room AND gain you 3 feet in the living space. You can put the table down without leaves for most everyday and put the armchairs / or two of the straight chairs (one each side of breakfront across?) in other spaces until you entertain. Once that is reorganized to fit better (put your chairs on the wall itself and move the table as close as possible into the corner to see what I mean . .. take out the leaf too unless you have three children .. you will actually be able to host larger events because you will be able to use the banquette to get more people around the one end and use all your chairs at the expanded table outside and other end if you have another leaf.

put a sofa table behind your sofa at the end of the room with lamps, table sculpture, art behind it. Shift everything else so the other chairs pair together facing the window . . .
