We're designing a very modern kitchen with black cabinets, bleached oak flooring, and a large center island. We don't love granite and marble may not be right for us because it's going to get a lot of cooking use and we worry about staining. We want a pretty uniform look.

Would love suggestions on what might be a great countertop color/material.
