A decorator I really admire told me that I should have a gap between my hood and my uppers. I can't remember how large a gap to have, and I can't reach him, and am in the final stages of designing my kitchen. Every photo I look at has the hood touching the uppers. So, I'm a bit perplexed. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!! Thank you.
