Need Architectural College!

Im 14 years old and i want to be an architect/ interior designer. But i don't know the best U.S. school to study this! It can't be a school like Harvard for example, it needs to be a good school that affordable as well. I live in Arkansas and would prefer something around Arkansas to easily be able to come down and see my little sister and parents. But please help with this! Thanks!

Georgia Tech has a good program. I live in Indianapolis and Ball State is one of the best in the country (and affordable) but it may be too far from your family. I'm sure there are others not too far. Good luck and good job in planning early!

Is in state tuition close enough? http://architecture.uark.edu. Education is important, but your internship is even more important. In 4 years time, you may want to get as far from AR as you possibly can, so don't discount choosing a more distant program. Especially if scholarships are involved.

Sophie you have a good point. I should be more open about location, I could always come back home after college and live close to my family, but education is more important.

Joseph I've actually looked into Ball State and it's got me really interested. And yes affordability is also key. I hate researching top U.S. Schools for architecture, and Harvard popping up. Ha!

Check out Newsweek Magazine. They do annual rakings for Barch and March programs. Rice has a great program. Most schools I would recommend are in the northeast.
