Remove that safety hazard of a hood complex in favor of a stainless chimney hood. Buy new slab doors and paint them instead of dealing with those traditional oes.

I'd go with quartz countertops...marble is lovely,but traditional too. While I personally love your range hood,if you want contemporary,you might replace it with SS hood...

Such a pretty kitchen...you can always add contemporary art,accessories and keep rest:)

I think the vent hood & center cabinets r too bulky for the space even if u liked traditional. I would have them removed. Go w a modem vent hood & floating shelves on both sides. Alternate modern surfaces such as stainless steel & recycled glass on the backsplash & countertops. Backlight the glass if possible. Work in modern elements such as light fixtures, hardware, sinks & faucets. U can often order stainless steel skins for existing appliances a much less expensive option than replacing appliances. Mixing tradition w modern elements can often result in a much more interesting room than using just one style.
