Choosing the right Color for Kitchen Cabinets

My kitchen is neither small or big..
the walls tiles are beige..and brown in between cabinets
Ibwant a color that would make my kitchen feel bigger and brighter...
I love white kitchens in pics but Um not so sure about them in real life..
I also love brown but Im afraid it might make the kitchen look smaller...
what color do you suggest? I need some ipinions please..
