Hi, your house is a split level and would probably work great in craftsman style and colours. I love the idea of the gray and I think a dark walnut wood or wood look door would look great on your house. I may also beef up the columns a bit. I can see that it could end up being a bit dark inside, sidelights may be just the thing.

Dark gray house with white trim. O.K. I would change the front door to a 15 lite, which will give it more of a craftsman look and let in an enormous amount of light. I don't believe you need to add side lights but will not hurt the overall look. Paint all the shutters a burgundy. Paint the garage doors the same burgundy. Add faux windows to the garage doors ( check out Lowes, Ebay and Amazon). They all look real from only a few feet away. Keep the white around the faux windows in the garage. Paint the window sills black if possible. Paint sticks very well to aluminum and or vinyl. Increase the size of the columns to at least 10" ( 12" is even better). Trim white, windows white, entrance door white, columns white. Hope this helps. Good luck!
