You could place a small square table with 2 small chairs on the side near the doors and the opp side. That should make the room more balanced as well.

It's hard to tell from your photo but I suggest a long, narrow rectangular table against one wall. It can be pulled away from the wall if you have a crowd visiting but it functions primarily as a multipurpose surface, not just for dining. Add a lamp and it become a desk, maybe a few pictures on the wall also.
