kitchen layout

We're in the framing phase of a gut rehab of an 1875 Victorian. We have opened up the back of the house to create one large kitchen/dining/family room space that will be much more contemporary than the rest of the house. Attached is a floor plan with dimensions from our architect as well as three quick preliminary elevations that I drew of the kitchen counter wall, the island and the pantry space. Our space is limited because we have large windows in the "bump out" area of the family room and large slider doors along the kitchen wall to the deck. I'm relatively happy with the design as of now, but I'm concerned that we don't have enough counter space for things like toaster oven, coffeemaker, etc., and there's no microwave in the plan. I am also concerned that the refrigerator might be too close to the slider door wall. I'd love suggestions! Thanks!!
