My husband and I are building a garage attached to the back of our historic brick home. We have continuously been working on stripping the brick of the white paint that once covered the entire house... trying to restore that original beauty. We know that the dormers need attention- either paint or siding within the year as well.

So... I am becoming increasingly overwhelmed when I go to pick out my siding color for my garage. I generally like color- however, I'm not so sure that it will work here.

If I use a colored siding (grey, grey-greenish, grey-tanish?) I could match the dormers to it... but would it look okay with the white pillars or should I paint them too? Does the front door need a change for the better to coordinate?

Or should I just stick with white siding on this garage?

Suggestions or links to similar pics would be greatly appreciated!
