I am putting recessed lights in my kitchen which has white cabinets and dark wood floors. I am debating between led lights at either 3000 or 5000 color temperature or florescent. From the kitchen you go down 3 steps into our living room where we are also adding recessed lights. Our contractor said we could do florescent in the living room and led in the kitchen to save on cost but would they match? Should we just do the florescent throughout to save money? Or if we go with the led any suggestions on the color? I don't want the cabinets to look off white by going with the 5000 but I am concerned the 3000 will look sterile like a hospital. Thoughts?

As a side note, we plan to stay in the condo about 3 years and then rent it out.
