Did you come to a final decision on your wall color? I'd love to see a photo of the rooms you're working with and see how the spaces connect to best advise if you are still looking for advice.

No, I am vey frustrated. A designer friend says don't use any shade of blue, including blue grey, if you want to keep resale in mind. So I found a warm grey carpet (Masland Carpet in Quartz) to be next to the maple floor, a wallpaper that is white with striae of grey and maple for below the chair rail in the FR and BM Muslin (very pale ) above, and maybe SW Grayish in the DR with the same wallpaper. But the SW paint is more blue than the carpet and could make it look dirty. I also have a pale blue grey carpet sample (Masland in Opal) I really like but it would attract actual dirt instead of just looking dirty. I have a lot of blues in my decor. I am going to have to try to post more photos. My FR has a navy couch, cinnamon leather chair, copper pillows, and green dry sink my husband made which matches two paintings in the room (and others have copper frames or warm tones) and blues and terra cotta in the collectibles. But a light shade of copper would look orange on the wall so that is out and I just got rid of medium blue wallpaper. Inj the adjoining DR, I also have blues in the decor, along with other colors (as I like art), yellow marble, and a blue Italian tea cart, and dishes with blue, pink and green in them. So I have to go neutral as I have too much stuff! Blue is what ties things together in that room, though, as well as linking it with the FR. I posted photos of the carpet samples and paint chips but have not found pics yet of the rooms before I dismantled them. By using warm grey with white and muslin I am adding two new colors to the shades of red (copper), blue and green I already have. I think it is bad so I am stuck.

The second photo was way off so reposting plus adding pics of items in the rooms. Most of my decor is stored to do the wall painting. The grey carpet below is actually much lighter than it appears in the photo.
