It seems like there is enough room on the left for a reading chair - maybe a printed wingback?

It's difficult to tell from the pic but I think you could easily put a nice reading chair and small table near the window if you don't center the large cabinet on the wall. Move it more towards the doorway and it should still feel balanced with a chair table grouping to the right near the window. If you don't like that you could try switching it (chair and table to the left, cabinet to the right.) HTH
