A colored concrete or a texture coated concrete such as Sundek might be a good option for you. Several nice things about Sundek (or similar concrete coating) are that there are many color options to choose from, and the material is much cooler on the feet in the summer than pavers will be. If you choose to add more patio in the future, it's extremely easy to match the color so that it appears as if it was all done at the same time.
