We are in contract to buy a condo with plans to remodel the galley kitchen in the next few years. Aside from updated cabinets, countertops & appliances, we would like to consider options for more counterspace: 1) replacing pantry with cabinets/counters, 2) removing coat closet, 3) moving refrigerator to current coat closet location to open up the kitchen. Some concerns, though, are a light switch on the coat closet wall & an electrical outlet on the wall behind the refrigerator. What is the best way to proceed to get an estimate for these options (general contractor, kitchen designer, architect, structural engineer, etc)?
