This was originally a pine floor. You have to bleach it and then play with the stain to get the color you want. It will vary considerably depending upon the color of wood you start with. You can use a prepared stain or you can also make a wash starting with latex paint and adding water. I start with a test area and just work on that 2 x 2 or 3 x 3 section until I get my desired color.Be sure and finish with a water base poly so that your floor does not turn yellowish on you but stays the color that you desire. Good luck, it takes a bit of trial and error to get your desired look.
