Not white! What color?

Edwardian reno. Center hall is Linen White, dining room has light yellow damask paper. Partition has rose/amber/clear stained glass. Living room has bright bay window, tall ceilings. What color can I paint it that isn't cream? These views show living and dining with partition.

Without any great knowledge of US paints, I'd say look at Benjamin Moore Grey Whisp. To me it's more green than grey, but it looks soft and delicious. Wow, what a space! Wow, what a job! Good luck!

How about BM "Nantucket Gray?" It's a historic color that does lean toward the green.

I think I would stay true to the Edwardian colors. Wedgewood blue was very popular and might coordinate well with the yellow of the dining wall paper. Something like BM Chersterton Buff might work well too, but might be too creamy for what you are looking for.

I really like the idea of the Wedgwood blue paint suggested, but it all depends on your taste and furniture. Or a deep rich peacock blue like the one in the attached image, Farrow and Ball's Hague Blue.
