That is "standard" but many newer styles are installed at 80" and above, especially rainfall types. I'm 6'6", so I'm used to shower heads hitting me right in the neck or face - I've installed pivoting extension arms in every shower I've had; takes care of my issues without leaving someone 5' tall scrambling on their toes to reach the shower head.

Thank you! That is a solve for us. The bummer is that I don't even know how much I'll use the rain shower head. We are also installing a handheld on a slider, which is what I'd assumed I'd use mainly. But I bought this because I like the way it looked and thought my husband would use it. I will look into the pivoting arms more, though!
