Anderson 400 Dark Bronze

Here's our Dark Bronze 400 series windows. I really couldn't find pics online before ordering, so here's my contribution.

We had 400 series white windows installed in a kitchen expansion a few years ago, and was very pleased. After examining various mediocre looking Jeld Wen windows installed in homes much pricier than my build, I knew I had to stick with the 400s. I really can't believe some of the junk I'm seeing installed in 4000sf "custom" homes.

I'll update photos when house is complete soon with some close ups.

Thank you for posting these photos! I have been looking for photos of anderson exterior colors, and couldn't decide between dark bronze an cocoa bean. Dark bronze looks great! Beautiful house as well!

More pics from Spring. Glad we chose the 400 series Dark Bronze. Interior grids are white as you see in previous post.

Could you show an up close pic of a window on the exterior?

Here's a few shots from my front porch double windows. By the way, it does require some physical work to pop out the windows, but overall it is reasonable, and pretty quick after you've done a couple. A roofer cracked a pane in

ne sash during construction, and the window rep easily replaced with an OEM sash in a couple of weeks. I don't have any negatives to say about these windows during this first year, glad I went with this color combo, but they do show dirt and spider webs like any other color.

Please clarify, windows are confusing! I have a new home construction. This is the look I want. Are these windows bronze exterior aluminum with white painted wood interiors? Are they vinyl? Are they aluminum clad exterior with wood interior? My window understanding continues to be bits and pieces of info, need some solid info PLEASE.

I would recommend visiting an Anderson dealer to put your hands on the 400 series. It is a wooden(pine I believe) interior with 'fibrex' exterior. Fibrex is a wood fiber vinyl composite as I recall, without looking it up right now. I like the appearance and function of these windows, and the depth of the sills versus insubstantial vinyl cheapo windows I've seen installed in the same value range as my custom build.

I know this is a older post, but if you are still posting I have a question. First of all, it looks beautiful! I would not be able to have the white accents, for my home. I was wondering if those are a siding trim piece? Also, what is your beautiful siding, brand and color? Thanks!

Hi Cindi, I just got an email notification, glad to help. Thanks for the compliment! Yes, the light colored surround is just a 4" Miratec trim board. All trim is painted SW Aesthetic White, the rest of exterior is Tony Taupe and Virtual Taupe Sherwin Williams. The siding is Nichiha brand, which is thicker and more substantial than Hardiplank. I was quoted the same price as Hardi, and I'm glad we chose the Nichiha. I'm surprised i don't see more Nichiha in construction here in NC.

As for the windows, they are performing like new at almost six years after install. The Dark Bronze fibrex shows no signs of fading with full sun for 6 hours in Summer, back of house ( I have an extra trim piece in a box that I can compare to). I wouldn't change a thing on these decisions. Really glad I went with Andersen (not Anderson, as I wrote previous!) Cheers!

Thanks so much for your help! I appreciate all the ideas regarding the colors and the siding. I am in Michigan and have not heard of the Nichiha brand. Good to hear your windows are performing well in the sun, as I have a sunny location also.
Best wishes and so glad you replied!

Hi, appreciate the post. What color/brand shingles did you use? I'm matching already-ordered bronze windows and choosing shingles. It looks like Timberline HDZ Weathered Wood might be close to your shingles. Thanks!

Hi! debating these dark bronze vs black on my white hardiplank siding home. Would love to know if you wish you had gone black? Do these give off a brown in the sun?
