real flowers are my preference , but is very expensive, even if you get your flowers at the market.I have some quality fake ones in the hallway to my office and they brighten the place up.

This year my cutting bed didn't go as planned. We had a ton of rain (zone 7) & it must have washed away the bulk of my seed. The only thing that thrived is my sunflowers.

Usually I have enough for fresh flowers through the fall. cost is about $10-12 for seed packs & I just let them go crazy!

Real flowers or nothing for me. For some strange reason I associate fake flowers with death. That said though I have seen some arrangements, generally very pricey, that do look very very real and could actually fool you especially if you aren't that close to it to touch it. That said I just can't get myself to go fake.

I know I prefer fresh-cut flowers, but sometimes artificial is perfect for a dark corner. It definitely depends on the quality. I do have a gigantic pink rose that was given to me by a four-year-old who thought it was BEAUTIFUL. I just can't seem to let it go. Every time I look at it, it makes me smile.
