Would you be willing to remove the tile?

What don't you like about it? What can you live with? How much do you want to spend?Personally, I would want a real vanity for all my stuff! If it is a master, I prefer two sinks. If you don't like the tub style, there are some beautiful free standing tub alternatives. Shower walls can be replaced with glass only enclosure, remove the gold and get yourself a nice shower head. There are lots of choices, real question is on budget.

Is the shower tile different than the floor tile? Or is that the photo?

Put up a curtain over that window so you aren't totally exposed when you stand up to get out of the tub!

I'd keep the tub, the pedestal sink, the mirror, woodwork, and furniture, and gut the rest. Use a black and white hex tile on the floor, and a white subway tile on the wall and a new frameless shower. I'd aim for something more like this:

What is the size of the room, what style are you going for, and what do you see right now as its problems? Just as importantly, what is your budget?
For the size room in this picture, the sink is too small. The style of the tub and sink are at odds with the apparent style of the house, judging from the windows. The shower enclosure is of a dated type, as is the tile.
I would view this bathroom as a redo, but that depends on the budget.
