I rent a loft that has two levels of windows on one wall, which is great... but the blinds the landlord has on them are those cheap metal ones and a huge eyesore in our main living area.

In a perfect world, I would replace them with nicer blinds... But since I'm renting and don't have the budget to completely redo the windows, the only thing I can come up with is putting curtains across the bottom level of windows. What do you think? Would curtains only on the bottom windows look weird? Or any other thoughts on how to make this wall and these windows look better?
