If the installer did not use a sealant I would suggest you contact him and seal it. Then he can give you tips on the correct cleaning process.

This is just a gut answer, but I would go with damp sponge. I've never taken care of red brick on a splash, but have on exterior applications. It hoses down just fine with a good power wash. Pretty low maintenance material and I always like the way it looks. Hope that helps. Charmean Neithart

I would still find out about a sealant because of the olive oil we all love to cook with today. It is such a fabulous kitchen and brick can be absorbent . It can't hurt to check it out. The old saying better safe than sorry!
