That area is 8'0" long with upper cabinet that have glass doors on both sides. it's a great way to divide the space but still keep it feeling open. you do have to be mindful of what you put in the cabinets so it doesn't get too busy and cluttered. Glass ware is ideal. If you have other items you need to house you can do a frosted glass which still keeps that light look but masks the busyness.

I like the "less is more" look as shown, allowing the light to shine through.
